San Diego-based Palomar Health competes with other major healthcare systems for qualified nurses, technicians, and allied healthcare professionals.
Palomar Health was reluctant to say goodbye to the “Yes! Day” campaign, that we developed in 2006. After all, “Yes! Day” had been the most successful recruitment campaign in their history. Their reluctance quickly transformed into excitement as they entered their new campaign, “Journey”. The “Journey” campaign detailed the compelling stories of real-life healthcare professionals and the journeys that led them to Palomar Health. The campaign included digital marketing, social media, employee referral program, print, TV, radio, direct mail, and on-site kiosks.
Today, the “Journey” recruitment campaign has won numerous awards, including a Gold at the 27th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards. Better yet, “Journey” has been even more successful than “Yes! Day”. They are generating enough qualified job candidates to fill all of Palomar Health’s needs and their days-to-fill dropped significantly. Another key metric revealed that the campaign reduced the cost-per-hire by 25% for both nursing and allied health positions.
